Techno Tribal Jazz
These were all written in music making software.▶
LMMS is free and open source music software that is set up like a graph. The Y axis is a piano keyboard where you plot your notes, The X axis as the timeline.
You click on the part of the graph in the timeline and the note you want to play. You can then assign that note an instrument, or sound. You can stretch he note for as long along the X axis/timeline as you want. Then when you hit play, it'll play the note along the timeline and the note will end when the cursor reaches the end of the note you created.
When you want to bend that note, you use the Pitch Bend.
You're also given a beat editor where you can plot the beats of vaious percussion instruments.
This is the basics of composing music with this program. Using this you can write beats, baselines and melodies, apply effects, control the volumes and what speaker the imstrument comes out of, and with that, write and compose symphonies.
The up-side to using this is you can create awesome music without having to practice, and if you make a mistake, you can adjust it til it's perfect.
Below are compositions I created from scratch.
I wrote very beat and every note.
Enjoy.

Witchdoctor's Daughter
Smooth, mellow, tribal flute and spooky voices.
Witchdoctor
Same note progression as a main theme, only more bongos, faster pace, a little organ action happening,
influenced by Weather Report.
NightSpirits
An experiment in trying to make harmony where no harmony exists.
Flute, bongos, low humming vocals, kind of weird.
PhatBoy
My acid-rock guitar work, baseline stolen from Boys in the Hood when they're
rolling down the alley in a low rider.
The Corner
My version of a bunch of old jazz musicians jammin' on the corner.
Inspired by Miles Davis, Thelonius monk, Wayne Shorter.
Extracting the most funk out of a single song as possible.
The Piano
An experiment in beats and playing with built in sound effects (I didn't make the sound effects)
I tried making a less distorted piano sound but it didn't sound right.
I like this sound better.
Lazy
Slide Guitar sound. Playing so the notes don't snap to the beat,
seeing how long I can drag out the notes.
Runtime
A competition/dance between clarinet and flute
trying to see how many notes I can cram into a single song.
LimeLight
Inspired by Return to Forever's Romantic Warrior album.
Nice guitar solo in there
Jazz 101
An experiment on just how far I can push when I knew about jazz at the time.
Walkabout
Experimenting with a didgeridoo sound I created.
Discovered that bending the notes of a flute sounds really tribal
Warmongers
Experimenting with warrior, tribal music
lots of vibrating harmony
The Lounge
My more or less traditional Christmas song.
XFunk
Experimenting with writing small riffs and rearranging them
to get a different feel throughout the song.
Inspired by X-files
BananaRoll
This one's fun, with a '60's sounding flute, funky bongos.
I calll it butt shaking music.
Islanders
Experimenting with vocal sounds.
Celestial Spies
A little spy music that sounds a little celestial.
